Alexander Chekmenev (on the picture to the right) - Born on April 1st 1969, All Fool's day, and it showed up in my works. Started taking pictures at the age of 13 and earning through photography at the age of 15. Started professional photography in 1992, in 1993 became a member of Russia's Photo Artist Union, in the same year also a member of Ukraine’s Photo Artists Union. 1993 to 1997 worked as a free artist in Lugansk. In 1997 was invited to Kiev as a photographer for the newspaper "Vseukrainskiye Vedomosti" ("All Ukrainian news"), closed 10 month later during parliaments elections. Now working for "Vecherniye vesti" ("Evening news"), Kiev, Ukraine.
